Alternative Giving To Give, or not to Give? As the Christmas season approaches, traditional gift giving begins to surface as well. Some may choose to not participate at all, others may willingly wedge themselves into crowded stores offering this year's "must haves", and few may take the path of alternative giving. Giving to others whose needs are far more basic, and easily consideredactualmust haves (clean water, shelter, food, dignified income etc.) has become more commonly practiced. Fair Trade represents a business model rooted in the desire to help others in need significantly improve their lives. If you choose to give a gift this holiday season, then please consider supporting Fair Trade. Explore the unique, hand made items made by hard working people all around the world at Artisans' Hope: 821 Mount Clinton Pike, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.. Our Advent Projectwill be helping to support Al Fuentes trauma work in the Philippines. On December 15 we will collect a special offering to send to him.
